Bhopal Parents: Follow the School Bus Live
Many Bhopal schools have moved to bigger campuses on the edge of the city, which means longer rides and earlier pickups for children from Arera Colony, Kolar Road or Ayodhya Bypass. When the ride is long, parents want to know two things: that the child got on, and when the bus will be back. The My School Ride parent app shows both.
What makes Bhopal bus rides unpredictable
Bhopal's roads wind around the lakes and over gentle hills, and routes along Hoshangabad Road, VIP Road or towards Bhauri and Neelbad can be long. These points are general knowledge, not survey results.
Winter fog
On foggy December and January mornings drivers go slower, and a fixed pickup time stops being useful. A reminder based on the bus's real position adjusts on its own.
Long outer-campus routes
When the school is 15 or 20 kilometres away, a delay at one end ripples through the whole route. Seeing the bus on the map tells you whether it is running five minutes late or thirty.
Old city lanes
Routes through the older parts of the city can be slow in the afternoon. A drop alert saves a wait at the corner.
Inside the parent app
- Bus on the map: the GPS device on the bus refreshes its position about every five seconds.
- Stop reminder: a notification before the bus reaches your stop, both ways.
- Boarding record: your child taps an RFID card on the bus reader and the tap appears for you.
- Driver SOS to the school: the driver and attendant app can send an SOS to the school admin, so the school hears about a problem quickly.
Optional extras, like in-bus cameras, depend on the school's package.
Signing in
Ask the school to confirm your mobile number is on your child's transport record. Then download My School Ride from the Google Play Store and sign in with that number.

Where My School Ride runs in Bhopal
Bhopal routes cover the lake side and the older city around Peer Gate as well as Arera Colony, MP Nagar, Kolar Road, Hoshangabad Road, Awadhpuri and BHEL township. Campuses on the Bhopal bypass or Raisen Road can mean long morning runs for children from the old city.
How installation and support work in Bhopal
Our team travels from the Pune head office to set up My School Ride for a Bhopal school: the GPS device is fitted on each bus, the transport staff are shown the admin console, and the school registers parent phone numbers. Parents get help through the school; the school gets support from us on WhatsApp and phone.

What Bhopal families want to know
Is there an app to track my child's school bus in Bhopal?
If your school uses My School Ride, yes. Install the parent app and sign in with the number the school registered.
Does the app still work on foggy mornings?
Yes. The alert follows the bus's real location, so a slower trip simply means a later alert.
Will I know my child got on the bus?
When your child taps the RFID card on the bus reader, the tap shows in the app.
Who sees the driver's SOS?
The SOS goes to the school admin, who can then contact parents if needed.
Can my school try it first?
Schools can book a demo and we will visit to show the apps.
We live near the Upper Lake and the school is on Kolar Road. Can I see the whole trip?
Yes. Once the bus starts the trip, the app shows it live until it reaches school.
Does Bhopal's winter morning fog affect tracking?
No. The GPS device reports location whatever the visibility, so the map still shows the bus.
