School bus checks in Faridabad: what has been reported

Haryana, on the Delhi border

Faridabad is in Haryana. We found one Faridabad district report, from early 2025 (Aaj Samaaj, in Hindi), and one state-level report from 2026. We found no 2026 report about school buses in Faridabad alone. Please ask your Faridabad RTO what applies to your buses now.

A district campaign (January 2025). Aaj Samaaj reported that the secretary of the Faridabad Regional Transport Authority (RTA) said a special campaign would check the buses of all educational institutions in the district, including whether their fitness is valid.
On the road and at school. According to the report, buses were to be checked on the roads and on school premises, and school managers were asked to work with the district administration.
If the papers are not valid. The RTA secretary said action would follow where a school bus did not have valid fitness, and a school vehicle could be taken into custody.
An order from the Human Rights Commission (May 2026). The Hindu reported an order of the Haryana Human Rights Commission that referred to the state's Surakshit School Vahan Policy. Regular inspections of school buses were to check that cameras are fitted, working and recording, with footage kept safely. The case came from a school in Nuh district.
Who inspects. The same report says district and sub-division committees were asked to inspect and to send compliance reports to the Commission. The committees include the Deputy Commissioner, the Commissioner of Police, the District Education Officer and Road Transport Authority representatives.

The Commission's order is about cameras that work and record. Ask any seller: How does the school learn that a camera stopped recording? As described on the Satcop India website, footage is kept for authorised access only.

Many contractors, one school

A school in an industrial city may hire buses from several contractors. Ask: Can the school see every contractor's buses in one list?

Routes that cross into Delhi

Some routes from Faridabad may enter Delhi, which has its own transport department. Ask the RTO: Which directions apply to a bus that crosses the border?
