• An attendant on every vehicle. The report says each school vehicle should carry an attendant and a teacher, and a woman attendant where girls travel.
• School transport safety committee. The report says each school should form a school transport safety committee with school authorities, local police and parents.
• The state portal. A March 2026 Hindustan Times report says Uttar Pradesh schools were asked to put vehicle, driver and safety details on ISVMP, the state school vehicle portal.
