The campaign focuses on inspecting school buses for safety equipment, including GPS trackers, CCTV cameras and speed governors. Police verification of drivers and conductors was also part of it.
Action on non-compliance. The report says buses and vehicles found without the equipment would be seized, and that regular roadside checks would follow an awareness period. An RTO official said most buses had already installed the equipment during the awareness campaigns.
