Agra is in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Transport Department runs drives called Mission Safe Future for school vehicles. The two reports below are from Amar Ujala, in Hindi. They are dated and attributed. They are news reports, so please ask the Agra RTO what applies to your buses.

• Mission Safe Future 2.0 (August 2026). Amar Ujala (26 August 2026) reported on the second phase of the drive in Agra, which checked the fitness and papers of school vehicles. Vehicles found unfit were to be verified by teams, including at the schools.
• Review by the Transport Commissioner (September 2026). Amar Ujala (3 September 2026) reported that the Transport Commissioner held a review meeting at the Agra RTO office. He directed officials to act effectively against unfit school vehicles and against drivers who ignore the rules, with more fines and licence suspension.
• The state portal. A March 2026 Hindustan Times report says Uttar Pradesh schools were asked to put vehicle, driver and safety details on ISVMP, the state school vehicle portal.
